Karakou
The karakou is a Women's velvet jacket with gold or silver embroidery, it's one of the essential elements of the Algerian costume often accompanied by women's trousers - or more recently, a long skirt. It represents the inescapable behavior of the Algerian brides worn during their party.
A fringed scarf is attached to the hair through tweezers or a knot. This scarf that girls put aside to highlight their long hair. Some Algerian women also wore a toque while the Men grace the Jacket just elegantly. Women have worn it in a more refined style to show equality between men and women in the style of costumes.
